Cabin Thermal Management and Batteries

Temperature management of electric and hybrid vehicles

SNDC supports customers in the design of particularly complex thermal management solutions for electric and hybrid vehicles. Their approach is focused on meeting the customer’s air conditioning and heating needs, managing the temperature of the batteries and optimising longevity and durability.

In cold conditions (<15 °C), the battery coolant heater keeps the internal temperature of the battery warm enough to protect the battery and prevent failure on startup.

Management thermique

n standard temperature conditions (15 – 30 °C), the battery coolant radiator maintains the internal battery temperature at an optimal level.

Management thermique

When the temperature is above 30 °C, the cooler starts to cool the battery to avoid thermal problems (thermal runaway, etc.) and increase battery life.
