Launch of SKIMO: a Stand-alone Electric Air Conditioning System

At SIMA, last February, SNDC ECOCLIM presented its new fully electric air conditioner designed for agricultural machinery, public works vehicles, handling vehicles and many other applications.
Compact, efficient and quick to install, the SKIMO air conditioning system is the ideal solution for vehicles with small engines, forklifts and earth-moving vehicles.
Depending on the exact requirements, the SKIMO comes as either a monoblock system or as two separate units (split system) and comes in both a 12 V and 24 V version.
The SKIMO electric air conditioner offers the following advantages:

• Reduced size: 72 x 48 x 25 cm. Very practical for small cabins. It can be mounted horizontally in a “cantilever” fashion and only needs a limited roof area.
• I can be installed on most machines: agricultural equipment, forklifts, earth-moving and garden maintenance vehicles, compact machines, etc.
• It is easy to install: no specialist qualifications are required to install it and it is even delivered pre-charged with R134a refrigerant. Mounting and connecting the electrical connections are simply and do not require any specific tools.
• Efficient: 2.9 kW of cooling power for only 0.8 kW of power consumption. When the temperature outside is at 31 °C, the temperature inside the cabin stabilises at 18°C, ​​and stabilises at 25°C when the outside temperature is 41°C.

The SKIMO range is available in:

• Monoblock roof-mounted unit: it can be installed anywhere in the roof space and can also be installed in an overhanging configuration.
• Split system (two units): an exterior unit (roof, cabin wall, underbody, etc.) and an interior unit (roof, wall, under-seat, etc.). This system allows various installation options.
